WOW have I been busy or what!

I have been so busy these past few weeks,clearing out some summer items at my shop, Shopping for back to school items for my boys,one of which, will be in grade 7!! I am amazed at how much & fast they have grown.

I have been working hard at getting my fall items out. and also we have just finished remodeling our youngest sons room (he is Eight) Thank goodness that is over, am I glad, it was a VERY messy job! That could of cost us lots & lots of money, but thanks to family we saved a lot. My husband (Darcy) has a lot of uncles as well as his dad that are very handy to have around when you need something done.

The room has two walls that are outside walls and were made of plaster, and once knocking them out we came to learn that there was NO insulation and the house is made of cinder-blocks….lucky us!

so after talking apart three of the four walls…messy,messy,dusty job, We insulated them and put of drywall.

So now comes the part of painting..ask my son what he would like done he replies with,”black ceiling and red walls”…..WHAT!! So after some convincing I decide on white walls (the room is small) but with blue and cream colored squares….I think it really adds to the room, It looks so fresh and really brightens up such a small area.

Next will come the carpet,baseboards,trim,new bedding of course(to match the new room)

Soo that has been the past couple of weeks for me!

Now off to dream land…to start all over tomorrow…lol

I have been getting fabric from the fabricshoppe on Etsy lately and have always been soo happy to open up the package.

I cant wait to be able to turn this pretty fabric into something wonderful.
