I’m A Little TeaPot Cozy….

I have been wanting to make a teapot cozy for awhile now, So I thought I would give it a try!!

Not to shabby looking I think..;)

It took a try or two, just to get it right.

Here is what the finished ones look like…

Next item to tackle…Tea cup and Coffee cup cozys!!

What have “I” been up to???

Well….just about everything you can think of!

With the boys going back to school, sewing pretty little things  for my shop and Christmas shopping,baking and family dinners, I was not blogging at all…well about four months to be exact!!

So here is the deal..I will try and make at least ONE post a week…of course some of the stuff I will blog about will be…bellaflower on Etsy…lol.

Since I just had to mention that…have you seen the latest in baby items I have added over at my little shop??

So Just what is this little hat looking think on the frog you might ask??

Well It is what I call a Sprinkle Tinkle Topper…In other words you would put it over a baby boys….well….pee pee!!

For WHAT…you wonder…well put it this way..if you have ever changed a newborn boys diaper you may of had a little surprise!

See when the cold air strick babys bum sometines he might pee..and well that pee wont be a little dribble..it will be more like a hose aimed right at you!!

So…here you have it!! A Sprinkle Tinkle Topper…super cute,super soft and made with 100% Cotton Flannel. Now you wont have any messes!

On another note, I would like to introduce to you all a wonderful place I go to everyday. They have the greatest Canadian Contests around!

Holiday Sewing time!

So, its that time of year again,

Time to start my holiday sewing, in fact I have already started awhile back.

I would love to post some of the items I have been making,BUT friends and family just might be lurking around…;)

I will however post a picture of my new Patchwork Pincushions

They are a nice size, Just what I like…nothing bothers me more then when I have run out of room for all my pins!!

I have made a few of these, and have posted some at my shop to see how they do…;).

I would LOVE some comments on others holiday sewing.

Bad Hair Day??

It never seems to fail,

I wake up, have a shower and try to do something with my hair and well…lets just say my hair has other things in mind other then cooperating.

Winter ,even tho we don’t want to admit it,it soon be on its way, and with that in mind will come toque or hat season.

So for myself as well as my shop I have started to make some hair bands at a really great price!

I know I will NOT be having messy hair…;)

Cold and Flu season soon to be here!

AGGG… it’s that time of year again, the boys go back to school, I start work (at school) and before you know it…we are all sick!!

Nothing is worse than walking down the halls of an elementary school and seeing little kids sneeze without covering there mouth! or better yet, how about the ones that have snot dripping down their nose and then the tongue just sweeps it away!! or the wipe my snot all over my sleeve child….lol, and so the list goes on!

They try and teach children to use the inner side of their elbow to sneeze so at least it will not be on their hands.

Lysol comes in handy, hand washing is VERY important as always it should be! and lots of tissues,you can never have too much tissues. OH and the lotion kind is the BEST!!

Just think in Manitoba we only have 8 months of this!…;)

Holiday shopping time!!

Hello blog reading world!!

Getting ready to do some holiday shopping? I know I am!!

I Love this time of year!!

Sad to see the summer slipping away,but glad that the kids will be back in school!!

The trees are starting to turn color out here (Winnipeg,Manitoba,Canada)

And call me crazy but even the way the air smells has changed.

So if you have not had a chance to take a peek at my shop now is the time, I have added a bunch of holiday items just waiting for you!…take a peek!!

Today I listed these bobbie pins, they are supposed to be snowflakes but to me they look like spider webs!! what do you think?? 

It has been a busy day for me, so I am off to bed!!

Halloween…OOPS!

So I kinda forgot all about Halloween,

Funny having two boys you would think that the constant reminder about the event and WHEN are we gonna buy a costume would of been a flag!

But no…I have been so busy with back to school and Christmas that I have forgotten all about the trick or treating.

So my shop has only one item featuring a Halloween item:

Hopefully next year I will be on top of things quicker!

Christmas in August?

Well for me it is anyways!

I have started my holiday sewing,crafts already. I figure,if I am looking for holiday items so are others…at least that’s what I am telling myself

I dont like shoping last minute and the prices always seem to raise around the holidays so I always shop a couple of months before hand.

This year I have been doing most of my shopping on Etsy, I wont disclose what I have gotten, do to the fact that family might be lurking around

Of course there will be some items that I will be making for friends etc.

anyhow, just thought I would let you all know that my shop has some holiday items up for grabs…take a peek,more to come soon!

Back to school soon!!

As much as I love summer and spending it with the boys…am I glad it is coming to an end soon!

This summer we had the boys busy with swimming lessons,lacrosse and camp.

Now that it has started to slow down a bit..well lets just say they are driving me CRAZY!!

I miss my afternoon naps..yes at 32 I have a nap and I love it!!

With the kids going back to school,I as well will be joining them, I work at my youngest sons school as the lunch program supervisor, It is a shared position with a good friend of mine. I have been doing this since they both started school..and even tho at times it is very crazy, I love them to bits!

It is such a boost when you come into school and the kids are sooo happy to see you.

The past couple of days I have been making some Reusable fabric napkins for my family and friends and even a couple to put in my shop

Seeing how fall is soon approaching us I have started to make some scarfs for the wee little ones.

More items to follow as more ideas keep popping into my head….like when I am sleeping
